Reconstructive
Abdominal wall hernias, scars, skin tumors and hand surgery.
Abdominal wall and umbilical hernia repair
Repairs the weak spot in the abdominal wall or belly button where a hernia comes through. It can be combined with a tummy tuck when there is also extra skin.
Scar revision
Improves wide, thick or tight scars by changing their shape or direction so they are less noticeable.
Carpal tunnel release
Frees the nerve at the wrist when it is compressed and causes tingling, numbness or weakness in the hand.
Cubital tunnel release
Frees the nerve at the elbow that, when compressed, causes tingling in the ring and little fingers.
Trigger finger release
Releases the tendon that catches when the finger bends, causing clicking, pain or locking. Done through a small incision in the palm.
Dupuytren’s contracture release
Releases the thickened bands of tissue in the palm that pull the fingers inward and keep them from straightening fully.
Ganglion cyst removal
Removes the fluid-filled cyst that forms next to a joint or tendon of the wrist or hand, when it causes discomfort or grows.
De Quervain release
Releases the thumb-side tendons at the wrist when they are inflamed and cause pain when moving the thumb or making a fist.
Skin tumor removal (benign and skin cancer)
Removes moles, cysts and other skin lesions, as well as skin cancers, with an appropriate margin. The sample is sent to pathology and the wound is closed with care for function and appearance.
Keloid management
Treats scars that grow beyond the original wound, combining surgery, injections and measures to prevent recurrence as the case requires.
Every surgery is performed only in hospitals with a current sanitary license (licencia sanitaria).
